Internship Involvement
World Health Organization: Internship
Offering technical and administrative program internships in communication, external relations or human resources
Have to have completed 3 years of full-time studies at a university
Not related to a WHO staff member
Minimum of six (6) weeks and up to maximum of 24 weeks (6 months)
Full time internship, only one internship is allowed at WHO

National Institutes of Health: Internship
Full-time research positions within one of the NIH Institutes and Centers
Summer interns work in a research group directed by a Principal Investigator (PI)
Opportunities include biomedical, translational, and clinical research
Health-related fields are invited to apply
NIH sponsors a "Graduate and Professional School Fair" in July and "Summer Poster Day" in early August, where the interns are able to share their research with the NIH community

Extended Clinical Program (ECP)
This route offers fourth-year medical students the opportunity to extend their training until August of that year at affiliated hospitals. It provides a valuable chance to deepen clinical knowledge, enhance practical skills, gain additional hands-on experience, and build meaningful connections within their chosen specialty.
For U.S. citizens at unaffiliated hospitals, the graduation date can be delayed until December 31 of that year.
Non-U.S. citizens may only extend their graduation date until August of that year, regardless of hospital affiliation.
Master of Science in Biomedical Research (MSc. BR)
Dual degree, tuition is free
complete research in a clinical setting and retain their status as medical students
Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Multi-Sector Health Management
one-year, online masters program, tuition is free
2 in-person weeks in Grenada -- one at the beginning and one near the end
students are responsible for books, certain fees, and travel fares to Grenada
