Sabrina Turner I MS4
American, Oahu, Hawaii, USA
Chief Senior IMSM I Overseer of Cardiology and Endocrine teachings I IMSM Social Media Planner I IMSM Recruitment Officer
Bio:
Aloha! I’m currently navigating my fourth year in Los Angeles. Born and raised on the vibrant island of Oahu, Hawaii, I carry a deep connection to the ocean and the spirit of aloha wherever I go. After high school, I embarked on an adventure that took me to Voss, Norway, for a transformative gap year. Immersing myself in the language and culture of Norway, I discovered the value of global perspectives and the strength of human connection.
I pursued my undergraduate studies at Boise State University in Idaho, where I graduated cum laude with a degree in Health Science. It was in Mammoth Lakes, California, that my passion for medicine truly took root. One winter, I witnessed a dramatic scene—a heavy snow melt fell from a roof, striking a man below. My parents, both seasoned healthcare professionals—my father, a retired hospitalist, and my mother, a retired ICU nurse—immediately assessed the situation with calm precision. Their ability to bring order to chaos and provide care in a critical moment left a lasting impression on me. That experience ignited a desire within me to be a source of strength and expertise in times of need.
When I’m not immersed in my medical studies, you’ll find me exploring new trails with a backpack, expressing creativity through painting, skiing down snowy slopes, or experiencing the rich cultures of the world through travel.

Zoe Colasacco I MS4
American, Long Island, New York, USA
Senior IMSM I IMSM Recruitment Planner I IMSM Recruitment Officer.
Bio:
Hi everyone! I’m Zoe, a third-year medical student from New York. Since September 2023, I have been doing my clinical rotations at North Middlesex University Hospital and in March 2024, I became an Internal Medicine Student Mentor. I am particularly interested in a career in Internal Medicine and hope to combine this with humanitarian work through organizations such as Doctors Without Borders.
Becoming an Internal Medicine Student Mentor has been a rewarding opportunity for me. It’s been incredibly fulfilling to support and guide fellow students, helping them navigate both the demands of the IM rotation, as well studying medicine in a new country. Being a student mentor has not only boosted my own confidence as a future physician but it also allowed me to contribute to a program that I was grateful to have available during my IM rotation.
When I’m not studying or facilitating teachings, I enjoy running, hiking, and traveling to new countries. So whether you need advice on how to succeed during your time in the UK or even a few travel recommendations, I am always available to chat. I look forward to positively contributing to an already strong community of SGU students at North Mid and I am grateful to play even a small role in your journey towards becoming a great physician.
